Located in the region of the Caribbean Sea, Dominica is an island surrounded by Guadeloupe and Martinique and is commonly known as a nature island.  Its area is about 750 square kilometers, with a population of just over 70 thousand. The island of Dominica is often referred to as the wildest in the Caribbean. It has spectacular rain forests, beautiful shorelines, clear rivers, hot springs, boiling lakes, and even waterfalls.

The official language is English and they use the East Caribbean dollar. The capital of Dominica is Roseau and is its largest city. It’s noisy, but also vibrant. It is definitely a unique place for any expatriates to live in.

The healthcare facilities in Dominica are limited in general. There are only four main public hospitals on the island. In some rural areas, medical facilities can be very limited.
